National Faith Homebuyers is partnering with the Detroit Land Bank Authority to offer the Rehabbed & Ready Down Payment Assistance Program,  powered by the Rocket Community Fund.

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan presented 135 deeds to graduates of the Detroit Land Bank Authority Buy Back Program on Tuesday. "We just strengthened 135 blocks with a new homeowner," Duggan said.

The Detroit Land Bank Authority, an entity responsible for selling vacant homes and lots in the city, expects to sell most of its structures by the end of 2023.

Mayor Mike Duggan plans to wipe out residential blight in Detroit by the end of his third term, but it’s a lofty goal that some say he’s unlikely to achieve.
