The Detroit Land Bank Authority (DLBA) is making homeownership more accessible to existing residents, with an expanded, neighborhood-based approach to Own-it-Now sales. This Saturday, May 11th, the DLBA is highlighting 26 upcoming property listings in the Osborn neighborhood. Four houses will be open for free public tours from 11 am to 3 pm. To increase access to the additional properties available in Osborn, the first ten visitors to each of the four open houses will receive a voucher for a free viewing of another property; a $35 value. All properties need renovation. Most of the 26 Osborn houses will be available for purchase on buildingdetroit.org starting May 20th. The Own-it-Now platform is designed to be responsive to community demand, making properties available for sale based on inquiries from the public, as well as changing market conditions. Hundreds of Own-it-Now properties are available every day on buildingdetroit.org, interested buyers can make an offer at any time, with starting prices as low as $1000.

The Detroit Land Bank Authority’s mission is to restore Detroit’s blighted and vacant properties to productive use.
