The DLBA takes the integrity of its auctions very seriously and bid-rigging is unfair to competing bidders and, ultimately, to the people of the City of Detroit. If the DLBA finds evidence of collusion in an auction, it reserves the right and will not hesitate to, as appropriate, reject specific bids, cancel an entire auction (in each case keeping the deposits or downpayments of the colluding parties), and/or pursue criminal prosecution of the parties involved to the fullest extent of the law.
